Description of the Nursery
IQ Academy nursery with Sensory and Sensoplastic profile is located in Katowice – Giszowiec. Since the establishment of the facility in February 2017, the most important goal that guides us is to create a warm, homely atmosphere, which gives children a sense of security, and each of them is treated individually.
Our nursery has 40 places for children aged from 20tyg – 3 years old. In the facility, we focus on the comprehensive development and creativity of the child, with particular emphasis on development in the sensory and sensoplastic spheres. In nursery education, we focus on independence.
Children leaving our facility are independent, they can dress, they know the rules prevailing during walks and games, they wash their hands, mouth and teeth themselves, they also learn the principles of cooperation in a group and thanks to integration they are taught mutual acceptance based on friendly attitude to others and sensitivity to the needs of another person.
Thanks to small groups, children in our nursery feel at ease and safe.

Particularly clear artistic passions of the ladies influenced the idea that the facility should be based on sensory art and general sensory development, which, in addition to supporting general development, help to shape artistic skills and sensitivity. Our staff is constantly improving their qualifications, which is supported by certificates and diplomas from participation in a wide range of courses, trainings and webinars, thanks to which we can improve our work

Adaptation classes are agreed individually with the parent and adapted to the needs resulting from the development of the baby. Classes usually last two weeks and start with a 15-minute meeting. Due to the well-being of children who already attend the institution, parents are not present in the room, hence the short time of the child’s stay at the beginning of adaptation. In the following days, classes are extended in agreement with the parent to 2 hours. Taking into account a number of experiences, we have developed an adaptive system, thanks to which this period is gentle for both the child and the parent.
During adaptation classes, we want the child to feel at ease, slowly learning the rules prevailing in the institution.
During the adaptation period, we offer:
- integration games,
- movement games with music,
- fun with an animation scarf,
- art game,
- outdoor fun.
All classes are tailored to the needs of our little ones. We allow children to get to know their new surroundings in a friendly atmosphere and at their own pace.
Plan for a positive day in our nursery:
6.30 – 8.30 am– we greet the children in the nursery with a smile and invite them to the room
8.30 – 9.00 am – we eat a delicious breakfast! Yum!
9.00 – 10.00 am – we start classes with our super heroes from speech therapy, English language and logorrhythmics!
10.00 – 10.15 am – we eat our second breakfast! Yummy!
10.15 – 11.30 am – dancing and playing, because I prefer it that way! But we also like to explore the world around us with the Aunties, our nannies
11.30 am – 12.00 pm– we eat lunch until our ears are twitching!
12.00 – 2.00 pm– when our bellies are full it is time for a nap, we fall asleep…
2.00 – 2.30 pm– wake up! Give the children their snack!
2.30 – 5.30 pm– free play, when we wait for mummy and daddy – we say goodbye to the nursery with sadness. We remember to wash our hands and face – before each meal we take care of that!
Please note that depending on the age group and activities planned for a specific day, individual points may change or shift in time.
